Fuel Up with Laird Hamilton

Fuel Up navigates some of these far-off destinations and the waves that live at their heart. Join Laird as he prepares for a day of big-wave surfing—powering up with morning smoothies in the Maldives, or breakfast burritos in Oaxaca, Mexico. After catching the morning session, buckle down for a big lunch, Laird style, with butterflied lobsters in Tahiti or turmeric-marinated snapper in Bali. Wind down the day with a Peruvian stir-fry from the infamous town of Chicama—home to the world’s longest wave—or a cassoulet from La Chappelle, a rocky reef break that comes alive in the foggy depths of winter. From the Wild Coast of South Africa to the Gold Coast of Australia, Laird’s novel take on food and life is synthesized in a cookbook unlike any other that invites readers to master themselves and the world through the art of fueling up!
